Preventing production waste
We run our company with a big heart heart for people and the environment. PlasTec has built up a long tradition of recycling production waste. We put everything into work to recycle production waste internally to reuse it in all possible applications. This promise is included in our Key Performance Indicators. We handle consciously with packaging, water and energy, or reuse them in an alternative eco-friendly circuit. PlasTec gives a high priority to the care of our environment and is always looking for sustainable solutions. If the concept and specific application allow it, there is the possibility of a regenerate.
PlasTec strives for a sustainable development with European organizations such as VinylPlus. Since March 2010, there is a project running in the PVC industry, which aims to reuse as much recycled material as possible in the original application. That way the amount of mixed recyclate reduces and the value of the recyclate increases. This voluntary commitment, which encourages sustainable production and use of PVC, was named Vinyl 2010.
The goals that were set at that time have been achieved and even topped thanks to Vinyl 2010. PlasTec is therefore proud to be part of this. In 2011, a new project was launched that can be considered as an extension of Vinyl 2010. The goal of VinylPlus is reusing production waste as much as possible instead of selling the waste. PlasTec is one of the companies that support VinylPlus. We put everything to work to achieve the five big challenges:

- Organochroline emissions
- Sustainable use of additives
- Sustainable energy and climate stability
- Sustainability awareness
